2025 Hobble Creek Half Marathon
Event Overview
The Utah County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (UCARES) will be helping provide communication support for the 2025 PHobble Creek Half Marathon.

- Route Overview: Left Fork Hobble Creek Canyon to Spring Acres Arts Park.

Volunteer Information
Registration Process
All UCARES members who wish to participate must sign up using the official Google Form. The event organizer will review registrations, assign positions, and provide further instructions.
Equipment Requirements
- Handheld VHF/UHF radio
- Some stations may require a mobile radio with portable antenna
- Fully charged batteries and spares
- UCARES ID Card
- Yellow Vest
- Headset or speaker-mic (recommended for noisy environments)
Setup Time & Locations
- Net Control (Spring Acres Arts Park) – Assist coordination of communications.
- Start Line (Left Fork Hobble Creek) – Arrive by 6:00 AM.
Water Stations:
- Station 1 – 6:15 AM
- Station 2 – 6:30 AM
- Station 3 – 6:45 AM
- Station 4 – 7:00 AM
- Station 5 (Hobble Creek Elementary) – 7:15 AM
- Station 6 (Church on Main St., Mapleton) – 7:30 AM
- Station 7 (for 5K race only) – Volunteers from other stations may relocate here as needed.
- Roving Repeater – Mobile operator monitoring frequency in the field.

- Backup Frequency: 146.460 Simplex
