If you are interested in TERT: Anyone is invited to join and be a part of TERT.
Indoor Training will be held Saturday April 14th. We anticipate that it will start around 0830 and end at 1630. Since “Clark Auditorium” is no more, we will be meeting in an LDS Meetinghouse at 102 North 2400 West, Provo. It is less than a mile off of the freeway so will be easy to find.
Outdoor Training will be held at Theater-In-The-Pines at Aspen Grove on Saturday May 12th. It usually starts around 0900 and lasts to around 1630 hr.
At the request of the Sheriff’s Office, TERT is requiring that all members take a CPR class at least once every two years. Before panic sets in, it will be offered at no cost at both the Indoor and Outdoor Training days this year. This will be a great opportunity for you in your personal life, family, etc, and raising the bar in your TERT activities. In order to participate in TERT this year, you will have to attend one of these classes or take a class or certify elsewhere.
While we encourage all TERT members to obtain a current CPR certification, only TERT team leaders will be required to have a current CPR certification. If you wish to certify in CPR, both Mapleton City EMS and American For EMS offers monthly CPR classes – Mapleton on the fourth Saturday (call 801 489-5655) and American Fork on the third Wednesday (call 801-763-3045).
Put these dates on your calendar so that you can join us for the training. More details will be coming as we get closer to the days.
I look forward to seeing everyone again and getting up in the mountains.
Thanks,
Glen Meyer
