One day Ham Radio class at BYU October 20th 7:30 am. This is an all day class. This is a free class. You will need to bring a laptop to study from. Seating is limited. If interested, ‘read more’.

Classroom instruction will be given in the morning. After lunch break students will self-study at computers. When a student is ready to take the exam they may do so that day. Knowledge of Morse code is no longer required for a Ham Radio license.

BYU does not have enough computers for everyone that will attend the class. If you have or can borrow a laptop please do so. The laptop must run windows or run an emulation program (Mac). If you have an Intel based laptop that does not run Windows or you can’t install the study program I have a CD that will temporarily run the program without installing it on your laptop hard drive.

The class is free. If you are ready to take the exam in the afternoon the cost is $14.00.

Also the regular monthly FCC exam is on Oct 17th, one week from today.

The monthly FCC exam for November will be on the 2nd Wednesday, the 14th, to avoid interfering with Thanksgiving.
